New community masterplanning on a historically significant site

UrbanFold is collaborating with Intrapac Property to masterplan a new urban community on the site of the former Lilydale Quarry. The Masterplan is informed by the site’s unique industrial and historical features ecology and topography creating an authentic and high-quality place that offers housing and lifestyle choice.

We envision Kinley as a series of neighbourhoods centred around a new train station and urban village providing residents with excellent connectivity to open spaces and the existing Lilydale township. Streets parks and community facilities are carefully integrated to create walkable and connected neighbourhoods. Housing typologies are diverse catering to a range of lifestyles while maintaining a cohesive urban fabric.

The project transforms a post-industrial site into a vibrant accessible and sustainable community. By embracing its history and landscape the Kinley Masterplan demonstrates how urban design can deliver both functional neighbourhoods and places that tap into the site’s existing features character and topography.
